After graduating Ryerson University with a B. Com in 1993, I immediately went to work for a national loan
company where I was introduced into the business. I went on to become one of the largest loan producers across
Canada. After 2 years I realized that I enjoyed meeting new people more than selling loan company rates and
made the switch to try the other side. I had serviced a good broker network while with the finance company and
felt the time was right to start my career. In 1995 I started as an agent with Marbelle Financial Services
working alongside with my father who owned the business. He taught me the value of customer service and that Honesty is the ONLY policy. In 2008, I took over as the principal broker and in 2009 we joined The Verico Mortgage
Brokers Network which has given all of the advantages of being a large organization yet keep our personalized
service to our clients.
When I am not in the office or out seeing clients, I spend time with my wife and our only son. During the summer
you can find us on the water boating or enjoying the Sea-Doos and during the winter months I keep myself busy
coaching Rep Hockey running from rink to rink.
I value all my clients and usually take a personal interest in what they are trying to achieve. Arranging a
mortgage is much more than finding the best interest rate. It means finding out your client's long term goals and
matching it to a mortgage product.

I started my career in the brokerage industry in 1977 as a partner/owner of another company. Prior to that I was a manager of a local loan company after completing my college education. I founded Marbelle Financial Services in 1986 and have operated from its current location since that time. Marbelle is one of the longer established brokerages in the Quinte area. I feel the reason for its success is that we have always been honest and forthright with our clients and provided them with the best possible product given their circumstances. The ability to expertly analyze a client’s requests have given us a very high success rate. In 1995 my son Craig joined the firm with the intent to one day operate as the Principal broker which he did in 2008. However, I still remain committed to the brokerage and still enjoy meeting new and former clients.
Networking has been a very key element of my career and have enjoyed various community organizations. I was a board member of Quinte Crimestoppers for 14 years serving as chairman for 8, past president of the Bay of Quinte Country Club, Kinsman club member and a committee member for several Chamber of Commerce events. I have been a mortgage agent with Verico Marbelle Financial Services since 1996. My previous employment was as a manager of a local loan and mortgage company for 22 years. I have been asked numerous times why I chose a career in Mortgages, the answer is simple. I remember the look on my mortgage broker’s face when I signed my own first mortgage. It was one of satisfaction and pride knowing that he had helped a young couple fulfill their dream of building their first house. I want to experience that feeling for a long time in this industry.
I'm a lifelong resident of the Quinte region with a Business diploma from Sir Sanford Fleming College. Being raised in the small town of Stirling I was raised with the small town values that I still live by, I found those values here at Marbelle Financial and was very excited to join the Marbelle Team.
My original career was in the machining industry starting on the floor and then moving into the role of Quality Inspector.I was then promoted into the position of customer liaison, where I oversaw customer relations with several hundred material suppliers, this is whereI learned the value of exceptional customer service.I also manage several rental properties in the area.
I have been married for 11 years and have a young daughter that I love to spend time with. My hobbies include woodworking, golf and fishing.
